Thanks for that, I was looking at their site, they also have the Agfa slide too.
I must contact them for price of postage to Ireland.

It's funny Fiji Acros 100 in the 4 shops I go to in Dublin - they claim they don't have it, yet list it on their web site but you cannot buy online :bang: and the one place that I did find Acros 100 it was just expired with Jan 2014 date.... the shop didn't even notice it.
Looks like I'll get my hard to source film from the other side of the Irish sea.
Thanks once again.

I would not hesitate to shoot the just-expired Acros you found. I've shot Plus-X that was more than 10 years expired along side a roll that was still in date and could not tell one bit of difference.

I bought the film that day, I have since exposed and processed it, with no worries.
The only thing that struck me in my original post was the lack of Acros 100 in Dublin at that time.

That shop in particular is quite good for film users and especially for those of use who use B&W film and indeed since then their Fuji rep resupplied them with newer Acros 100 at €7 a roll.

At the moment I'm really enjoying the "new" Rollei RPX400 (black packaging with red letters) in HC110. Great film.

Many say RPX is (or was) identical to Kentmere... I don't think so. It behaves completly different for me, I like it way more then Kentmere... I think I even prefer RPX to HP5. Have to shoot more of it to make a definitive statement.
So long it's sharp and very fine grained + it's dirt cheap in Germany!

I'm happy shooting 4x5 with FP4+ right now. It has great highlights when processed in PMK Pyro. For grain and character, though, 35mm Tri-X is my standby, as always. I was sad to see Plus-X and Efke go. I really liked those films.

I don't know about the emulsion but I liked Ilford FP3 and the B&W slides from it, ditto FP4 etc. And there was Agfa Diapositiv...

None of them are available these days so I guess I ought to add FP4+ which I am still buying and using as print film. I guess if I still had a darkroom etc it would be my favourite and FP3 etc are improved by nostalgia...

Regards, David

I'm still amazed, over and over, at how good 2TMY is. Plus-X with two more stops of sensitivity. I develop it in XTOL 1+1. I will weep when it's gone.

Love TriX but lately enjoying Kodak Plus X 125 for 120. Love how it renders with the PM670 and Perceptol developer. Wish Kodak still makes it because I'm really favoring the characteristics over Tmax 100 and 400.

It depends with the developer. I used to pair fomapan with rodinal, and very happy with the result. But now I'm falling in love with delta 100/400 + xtol, and I think I will stick with this combo for a while. The tonal and sharpness just amazing.
