What is your favorite "M" strap ?

Tamrac's padded strap; I've got it on virtually all my cameras, except on the Hasselblad, the Franka (no need for strap), the Rolleiflex (I have a special strap for it) and the Minox 35 GL.

Domke Gripper strap, without the swivels, adjusted short and wrapped around my wrist. For changing film it goes around my neck.

Going to back-up Gordon on this one. These wrist straps are just about perfect. Strong as hell and very sleek.

I soak mine in water for a few days and then dry them out on the go. I do that with just about all stiff leather I use, to help break it in and clean out the majority of residual dye.

Remember, if you tell Gordon that you heard about his strap here on these forums, he kicks back 10% to RFF. Keep it local, gents!

There are a couple of "M"s with my straps.

Gordon's straps are indeed cool. Can't beat a leather strap. Although I've experimented with leather wrist straps before and even made a couple myself I've read that the drawback of a wrist strap attached with a splt "O" ring is that it can loosen the strap lug by twisting. Any truth to that?

I honestly can't see why it would, unless you twirl your camera by the wrist a lot. I've never personally had a problem with it, myself.

I love the internet. You can pretty much learn anything about anything. Who'd have thought I would be handstitching leather before the end of the week?

Well, here's my version of the Luigi leather wrist straps, cost me all of $0, one in black, and one in brown. :)

that's only for leica's.
canon's strap lugs are much stronger;)

Measures about 9 inches. Must have been distortion from using 35mm to take the photo. I like it a bit long anyway. I've got thick wrists :) I just slide one of the crosswise straps to tighten around my wrist.

I've heard about that, too. I don't use the strap to bear any weight, anyway. It's just insurance in case my grip slips.

Course the Canon P and VI-T... I twirl them around by the strap ;)

BTW, I forgot to mention that the straps are from FSU ER cases - black from a Zorki, and brown from a Kiev. In fact, each neckstrap makes 2 wrist straps. So yes, the canons will get theirs too :)

The UPSTRAP is the best I have ever used, I used to use the op-tech prostrap, but it never felt secure. It was comfortable, but I want to move freely without worrying the camera might fall off my shoulder. The UPSTRAP glues itself to your shoulder, fantastic!
I will buy Upstraps for all my cameras as soon as they get their international online ordreing opened.

Based on the recommendations of everyone here, I decided to purchase 1 Domke Gripper and 1 Tamrac Suede padded strap for my M6's. Ordered from B & H Tuesday, they came yesterday and after trying both on and standing and walking around for a half hour with one on each camera, I decided the Tamrac is more comfortable and less fatigue ;) ing... but only by a hair.

Thanks all !!!!

Is there any hand strap like this one from Op/Tech, something that attach to the lug at one end and the tripod mount on the other end?
