What is your favourite non-Leica RF cam?

Tower/Nicca 5L

(you asked for our favorite - but some are just providing a list of all their cameras that aren't Leicas. I have and had a bunch of non-leicas, but the Nicca is my favorite)

Sticking to 35mm:

(1) Zeiss Ikon Contax (II, IIa)
(2) Nikon RFs (SP, SP 2005, S3 2000)
(3) Kodak Ektra
(4) Assorted Barnack copies (Nicca, Leotax, Reid, Kardon, etc.)
(4) Bell & Howell Foton

My favorite non-Leica rangefinder has to be my Electro 35 GSN. Nothing exposes film more accurately except my LX, and the RF/VF is great.

My Kodak Medalist is a close second 🙂

Of the ones I own, in order

1. Canon G-III QL17 (sorry, predictable !)
2. Canon Canonet (original with no aperture scale in viewfinder)
3. Zorki 4 (wind is stiff and I get a sore thumb) :-(
4. Minolta Hi-Matic F (shutter works but focus is off)
5. Konica C35 Automatic (doesn't work at all)

My favorite non-Leica RF cam is the Graphic 36005-P32 cam. Why? Because it is the rangefinder cam in my Super Speed Graphic camera with 1/1000 shutter.
You ask an engineer about a cam and you will get a comment about a cam.

In order of most used from what I own:

Yashica Electro 35 GSN
Bessa R
Fuji G690BL
Zorki C

The Yashica is actually misplaced right now, which saddens me deeply...but it really is a gem of camera, and has helped me produce some of my best photographs. The Bessa is, obviously, a step in the right direction from the Yashica, but it still gets less use. The Fuji is a beast, and I can rely on it for making huge, 35mm ratio negatives for me. The Zorki is just fun to use and take apart. I've got a need to always be taking something apart, cleaning it, or fixing it, so I'm sort of in love with my little FSU RF. Tactility is king!

That is a GREAT cam. I have the same one in my Super Graphic tied to my Graphex 135/4.7.

My friend Dom and I used to have a mutual friend named Cami. We used to call her Bumpstick (a colloquial term for an internal combustion engine camshaft.)
