What is your favourite non-Leica RF cam?

Stylewise, I'd have to say my Contax IIa, and it's fairly easy to operate, but the viewfinder is a bit squinty.

And then there is my Olympus 35RC. Fine little compact, and great results, but I don't like the aperture ring placement.

Lately though, it's been my Ricoh 300 that I repaired (well actually, I repaired the other two also, just not as extensively). It's just the right size, nice large veiwfinder, and decent controls. It only goes to 1/300 on the shutter, but then I like shooting 100 speed film anyway.

I'm rather fond of my Minolta Hi-Matic 9 that I bought from Jon Goodman a few months ago. It is in beautiful condition and he replaced all the light seals prior to putting it up for sale. I also have a soft spot for my little Nicca 3s.

1. Mamiya 6 -- Best lenses ever on anything
2. Contax IIa -- The 50mm 1.5 Sonnar renders so nicely
3. Konica IIIa -- gorgeous viewfinder, cool film advance, great 50mm 1.8 lens
4. Contax G2 -- for the lenses

I like using the following non-Leica RF:

Hexar RF
Canon P
Contax IIa, IIIa
Minox GT, ML
Zeiss Tenax II
Olympus XA
Konica III and IIIM

I just got a Nikon S3 2000. I will also like using it. I may have other RF cameras that slipped my mind. It is difficult to pick a favorite. Each has a place.

Has to be my Fujica GS645. For all its flaws it's one hell of a lot of camera to pack in one's pocket.

2nd to that. It's my fav even over my M3. Next in line would be my long lost black Canon VI L. Even with it's wrinkled shutter curtain it ranks as my all time favorite.
