What just came back from repair?

I am guessing you cleaned yours based on this post?

I couldn't get the shutter speed dial off, wasn't sure if the spanner part was left hand or normal thread so I didn't get that off.

I only ended up cleaning the lower part of the four contacts on the lower left of that photo of above. Mine had some buildup on that got on the swab I used. I don't know if it will do what yours did in the long-term though.
Maybe the sensor has dust on it [sensor in bottom of camera] sensing reflection from pattern on shutter cloth.

Do you have issues with exposures with shutter speeds lower than 1/30 or so? Does the shutter seem to be slower than those speeds?

I'd love to know just what you cleaned -- I tried cleaning the contacts on mine some time ago and it worked without the jumping LEDs for a time, but has since reverted. I've never gotten a clear answer on what exactly is to be cleaned. Thanks.
I have pictures of hot shoe contacts when top is off etc. nothing touching alignment for rangefinder. Needs cleaning of shutter select contacts as has become onerous in non automatic mode. Automatic seems fine....but it does need the contact cleaning...had found instructions for this with pictures....on line.....but not a thing high on my list. Have Contax 1 needing shutter ribbons.....used to be something I was patient enough to do....have tools and material...just not up to it at moment. The CLE is nice camera. The finder is exceptional but the rangefinder image .......better to just have major wide angle lens on it!

In my case it is a Nikkor AIs 105mm f1.8. This lovely but beefy lens seems to have an endemic problem - leakage of oil from the helicoid onto the aperture blades. The design of the helicoid housing is reportedly such that this is a common and annoying issue which cannot really be avoided, only mitigated. The problem first appeared when I bought the lens 2-3 years ago, on the very day I bought it. The store willingly agreed to fix it (as they should) but it reappeared several months later. Again they did the right thing, fixing it for free. But it started doing it once more recently (and worse so - with the blades totally locked not just sluggish) and this time I had to pay for the privilege. I am not griping about that, after that amount of time I expected it, business is business after all. But it is still not welcome. When working properly the lens itself is a delight to use though I have to confess it looks rather like a matronly aunt after a 10 year binge on chocolate and ice cream. It is one chunky monkey!

I recently got the shelf queen Contax II back from Oleg at OKVintageCamera and am running a roll of XP-2 through it. I do like how it handles and the sweet subdued shutter sound. The Contax II impressed me when I first held one in '53 and still impresses me, I just hope I get a few good pics on the roll of 36. Hope springs eternal. ;o)

Not quite back yet, but I heard from the repair tech today that my Plaubel Makina 67 repairs are done, so I should receive it back within the week. Yay!
The Makina 67 arrived home from service today.
It feels, looks, and works as if new again. I'm very pleased. 😀

Not quite a Makina but this was today’s project which had been sitting in a box for three years. Shutter and lens clean and transplant from an Isolette II, bellows replacement with new leather ones, rangefinder unstuck. I promise myself it will be the last Isolette (till the next one).

I look forward to hearing your impressions after a few rolls ….
Been a little while..

I've exposed nine or ten rolls of film with the Makina 67 now. It is a lovely camera to shoot with: excellent lens, very accurate meter, and, folded up, it is compact and handy to carry when I'm walking or cycling. It's a bit heavy but not terribly so. It's not a particularly quick camera to use, but it's not slow either. The rangefinder is very accurate, the viewfinder framing is pretty nice too.

Altogether, a fine camera that fulfills my expectations of forty years looking at them... 😉

An old one or a re-issue?
Didn't know there was a "re-issue"...

This is a black one to match my MP that I bought new at the same time - around 2005. As I remember it, there were two clerks in the camera shop (Sterling, VA) and they were just as excited as I was when I went in to purchase the MP. They were also excited to tell me that there was a deal Leica was offering (THAT never happens anymore!!) - the deal was either 10% off the price or a new Leicavit added on. At the time, I wasn't too familiar with the Leicavit so they went into an elaborate explanation, showing me the beautiful piece of metal as if it was a rare jewel. So, as I had already factored on spending the full $2700 on the camera, I said yes to the add-on. It's been attached to the MP since and I realized how much I appreciate using it when it recently broke.
