What Kind of Filter is this?

Hey guys, need some collective wisdom here. Found this two looks to be ND filters from bunch of assorted soviet/russian camera stuff.

The shape and size is odd, the internal diameter is 26mm, so perhaps it's a push on for some some kind of soviet/russian camera?

I also assumed HC-2x and HC-4x on the rim marking mean NDx2 and NDx4 respectively?

Kind of hard to see as the background overpowers the filters. Even so I am surprised one of you FSU aficionados hasn't identified these yet. I will try to remember to look at them again when I get home and have a better monitor. Not that I am likely to have any answers for you.

Neutral density, push-on seem right guesses. With that dimensions it looks like something for a folder. I have never seen something like this.

Neutral grey 2x (1 stop) and 4x (2 stops), soviet made. Typical (for this, not a lot of shutter speeds, and the diameter) for 8 mm film (motion picture) cameras.

If they were 27mm, they'd fit a Lubitel 2 with T-22 7.5cm/f4.5. Check again.

a soviet super8 kind of camera, hm... that'll be interesting!

I measure it again, it's 26mm internal diameter and 28mm outer diameter, I guess if the Lubitel has 26mm outer diameter this might just fit it, maybe some day if a Lubitel drop on my lap I'll give it a try :angel:

a soviet super8 kind of camera, hm... that'll be interesting!

With minuscule D-mount lenses that would hold such a filter, it would be Double-8 (clockwork driven cameras, double perforated 16mm film turned after the first pass of the roll, and later split after processing). IIRC Lomo later also made Super-8 cameras, which look like cloned Kodak cameras, with zoom lenses - such a small filter would not have fit there.

The 'Standard 8' or 'Double 8' Russian cameras, often branded Quarz were supplied in big quantities with a full range of filters etc. Very inexpensive then and now, mostly a way for the USSR to obtain foreign currency...
