What kind of pictures are hanging on your walls.

Good choices you've made. Can't participate myself. I have abstract paintings on my walls. No photos. But this is an interesting idea for a thread.

We have a lot of art on the walls. Some are acrylics, some oils, some mixed media, a pastel, a batik, even a few family photos I have done.

But I have no significant personal photography. My wife is very supportive but just does not appreciate my documentary photography. That is no problem for me. It does hang in a few others' homes though.

I just bought an original Jim Marshall 8x10 B&W print, of Led Zeppelin in concert. Gonna frame it, and hang it in my computer room. Can't wait to get it.

just renovated my home so yet present nothing hanging on my wall but I am soon going to have two large, fantastic framed pictures of New York. One of Time Square and one of the NY sky line at night in my bedroom.

Have a variety of 'paintings' hanging on the walls - pastel, watercolour, oil, mixed medium. Some have come down through the family and so have some sentimental value as well as being 'good' pieces. We also tend to buy 'a picture' a year and try to pick up an original to remind us of places we have been. I do take a photo of each to act as a record just in case something dreadful happened to the house and I needed to make an insurance claim! Not that any of the pictures are all that valuable. We do have the odd old clock, they are photographed as well. But as yet no 'real' photos on the wall apart from a few of our children and grandchildren.
Our house isn't a modern appartment but a converted agricultural building extended at least three times to provide a lot little rooms, certainly nothing grand! Visitors have suggested they need a map to get round! But its more than a house, it's a cluttered home.
