I've only owned one "M", my current M6 TTL. However, way back in 1972 I was looking for an M3 and got sidetracked into a Nikon SP. I didn't get the M6 until early this year. Both are great cameras, but different.

BTW: my avatar was taken with the SP sometime in 1974 (if I remember correctly).

Don't worry, when it comes to "feel", I prefer the M6's feel over the M8. Still, the M8 is the best digital M .
