What online posting forum do y'all recommend?

I've gotten back into taking photos w/ my film cameras nowadays and while I used flickr ten years ago, I'm wondering if there is a better service nowadays available? What different service is out there that may be better and maybe even cheaper? Your advice is always greatly appreciated.

I started using Flickr in 2008 and haven't found a better deal for what I use it for: an on-line web server with unlimited capacity at a modest price. A Flickr Pro account is about $8.50/month and can handle an unlimited number of public and private image files with very few restrictions. I've used it regularly for 15 years: it's had very little downtime and not cost any more than the base rate for a Pro account. I don't think there's much you're going to find that does as good a job, as flexibly, and for as little cost.

It's not the best solution if you're looking to monetize content. Other sites are better for that, with more sophisticated ways to configure your pages and list products for sale. I don't use any of them at this point in time so I will not list any names.

Only thing I use is Instagram. It's not sophisticated in the least but it suffices for my simple needs and it's free.

There are many free cloud storage options that allow photo linking, so you can share photos at places like rff. 10GB is free at box.com, others include Dropbox, air, icedrive, also Amazon photos offers 5Gb for free, if you already have a prime account (otherwise $2/mo for 100Gb.)

I use very little of the storage of Flickr but it is my favorite because of the versality with photographs, groups, and albums.

Flickr for hosting, smaller online communities for actual posting. I do participate a little on Flickr with follows and favorites, but not much. It's a good way to find more photos from a photographer I like, and makes it easy to follow what they do. I find that Flickr still largely follows classic website practices instead of being full of time-wastey, attention-grabbing social media type mechanics like so many other places. And the ads are not too insidious. I dislike ads that try hard to blend in with the content I actually want to see.

Cameraderie.org is my favorite internet home, besides that and here I participate every so often on PentaxForums and Mu-43.com

Most of forums are dead or much less active. RFF is really the one left where it is well balanced.
I'm not on Instagram even if some are saying my photography has to be where. But it just too primitive and crowded for me. I'm not eager for likes from unknown people.

As for photo hosting nothing comes close to Flickr, still. And I could subscribe to interesting photogs just as on Instagram, but I could see photos in normal view on large screen, not something castrated to accommodate most stupid way of viewing pictures (on tiny mobile phone screen). Yet, Flickr provides mobile phone app, which I think, was way before Instagram.

Every time I want to find how particular camera, lens renders, I could find the group for it on Flickr to see large size photos.

So, Flickr for photos on-line storage and sharing some of them here (Instagram is not allowing it on purpose to keep all gulls in single flock).
While most of my photos are not visible on Flickr until I post them on forums via supported links.
And I also use Flickr for showcase of my past time with film and on the streets.

I use reddit too, there are many photo forums on there. Reddit is reddit, though, so one also has to assume that there is a fairly high number of extremely toxic people there too. I stay clear of the large subreddits about photography, but some of the smaller ones are rather nice (the camera specific r/ricohGR is a favorite of mine, but there are others. Their Leica subreddit isn't bad at all, and the paired Reddit - Dive into anything is often nice. the main photography one "/r/photography" is usually horrible though.
