I have an Oly XA2 and an XA1 - for those unfamiliar with the XA1, it's an XA body, battery-less but fully automatic, fixed focus at f/4 (about 10 feet to infinity).

Curious, but they work pretty well! Lens is nothing like as good as the XA2 though.

An 8x12" print showed to a Leica fan had him completely fooled - he thought it was taken on a friend's Summicron and was mightily embarrassed when told it was the XA2!😀

I love small, compact cameras you can carry around in your pocket at all times. I have and use regularly a GR1v, Olimpus Stylus, Yashica T5, Minox GT (now sadly afflicted with an unreliable shutter that opens only when it feels like it) and the Olympus RC. Now that the Minox will probably be retired (I live in France and the cost of servicing the camera is more than it is worth) I am thinking of an Olympus XA...The only digital concession is a Canon Elph S230, also picked up for its size.

This passion goes back 30 years to a Kodak Instamatic Pocket 60, a 110 film model with a rangefinder, for which batteries are no longer available - otherwise it would be still in use, I suppose. The power of having the camera always there, always ready to capture the moment...indeed I feel naked if I leave home without one of them, even for a short walk to buy bread. Yeah, definitely addicted to small cameras. Is it serious, doctor?

I use a Pentax Espio Mini. Got 2 of these and find the lens superb and the meter works well for evening street shots that include neon lights, shop windows, christmas illuminations and the like as well as stage shots. Will be taking one to Vegas in 3 weeks time along with either my Hexar Silver or Contax G1.
Also got Olympus Mju-II, Olympus Trip 35, Olympus RC and ECR. All have great lenses.
Have a Minolta Dimage X digital, very slim and good performance but rarely gets used as I tend to pick up a film camera more often.
Also have a Vivitar Ultra-Slim, a very basic plastic camera with no control (very simple P n S)which is only for use in good light. But it does have a 22mm lens! Some pix in my gallery.

Olympus Stylus Epic. Don't use it a lot, but it has it's uses and has a reasonable minimum focusing distance.

Yashica T5 and Pentax Espio Mini. Both are really nice to use and work very well. The T5 is especially good at unnoticed shots with the auxilliary top-down viewfinder.

I have a G5 too though it hasn't had a lot of use. Considering taking it along with my film camera when I go to the US in 3 weeks time, if only to keep processing costs down a little. Find it a little slow to use sometimes. Like the swivel screen though.
Can't comment on the Lumix myself but someone I spoke to had been very impressed by it. Sorry I can't be ore specific. Digicams I find in general to be a PITA but they have their uses I suppose.

I just got an Oly RC from greyhoundman! What a sweet little camera, ever since I saw one for sale at a camera store in new york (for $150, or something crazy like that), I knew I wanted one as a carry everywhere camera. I will post some pictures in the coffee thread soon.

For P&S as in carry every where type cameras I have:

Chinon Bellami with 35mm f2.8 Chinonex

Rollei 35S with 40mm f2.8 Sonnar

Olympus 35 RC with E. Zuiko 42mm f2.8

Of course a Canon QL-17 GIII with 40mm f1.7 lens

And for quality photos I carry an Ansco Speedex Special "R" 120 6x6 with an Apotar 85mm f4.5.

There's nothing irrational about it. The lens is one of the best you can get in a fixed lens camera (see Erwin Puts' review http://www.imx.nl/photosite/leica/magazine/minilux.html), and the flash is unusually powerful for a compact. I had a Minilux, which I believe uses the same flash and lens, and it is what sucked me over to the dark side. If you want something cheaper which has about the same performance as the CM (with even less shutter lag if you prefocus), get a good used Minilux. You'll be hooked. 😀

Oly Stylus Epic-- I like the small size and you can do slow sync flash with it.
Yashica T4 Super-- I give it a slight edge picture-wise over the oly, but slight. The "superscope" is so great though. I also got it for only 24 bucks!

If it's plastic, electronic shutter, AF or not, zoom or not and not a classic RF I consider it a point' n shoot so I have 52 in mainly Canon, Minolta, Olympus, Ricoh and Pentax with a few Kodak, Nikon and Fuji thrown in there. I hate to pass by the great glass on these so when I see one at a yard sale or thrift shop if it's under $10 I usually pick it up. Just bought a Yashica Elite 70 Zoom and a Canon AF35M yesterday for $9.

I have the Contax T3 and use it a lot. The automation (AF, AE, film transport) is not the attraction. What keeps me hooked is the tiny size, the awesome lens (CZ Sonnar 35/2.8), and the decent inbuilt flash. I carry it when shooting with an old Leica to cover flash situations. Did you know the T3 can focus in pitch darkness, even up to 5 meters? It uses a brief, and discreet, flash from a red LED.
