Now that I have a medalist 6x9 I am curious what enlarger lens I should get? or will my 80mm work that I use for 6x6?
I'm very partial to the Rodenstock Rodagon 105mm f/5.6. Nice lens for a good price. I *sometimes* use a Nikkor 80mm f/5.6 but only when I'm super lazy.
nice thanks.
my 80 is a schneider componon, i thought they were the best. Is there a 105 Ektar that would fit my beseler 23CII?
I have a 4 inch (100mm) ƒ4.5 Enlarging Ektar lens from 1947 that I bought a few years ago. The lens mount is not the standard 39mm Leica thread, so you need to make sure you find one with its mounting ring included. Since the Beseler 23C uses lensboards, you can buy a blank board and have it drilled to the correct size.
The Enlarging Ektars are very good lenses and usually don't cost very much when you find one.
I've used for 6x9 nikkor 105 or rodagon 120wa (for 4x5 or less); all depends from the coverage of the lens. If you have yet an 80, you can try and if it doesn't vignette, who cares? Now that I have a medalist 6x9 I am curious what enlarger lens I should get? or will my 80mm work that I use for 6x6?
