Recovering rollei snob
I am going to look at an x100 listed locally tomorrow. What should I look for when evaluating it for condition? I have never used this camera before. thanks!

take some pix at high aperture like f5.6 and f8 to see if they come out overexposed. this indicates 'sticky aperture' problem some of the early models had. it would have to be sent back to fuji to fix.
just also try AF to see responsiveness. also MF setting allows for autofocus by pushing the AFL/AEL button on the back--this should be just as fast as the regular AF setting. you may find, as i did, this is a preferred method of focusing, so try it out to make sure it works correctly.
