I'm having one of those "what camera equipment to take on a trip" brainlock days. I'm heading to Nova Scotia for three days (leaving early Saturday). If my Bessa R was back from getting the RF adjusted, the decision would be a no-brainer.
I'm travelling light, so the SLRs and dSLRs are out.
The Coolpix 5000 is coming along, but I need a film camera as well (gotta take some B&W shots).
My choices are a Zorki 3M with a shutter that can get wonky in cool weather and a Kiev 4 with occasional frame spacing problems. A J8 and J12 would be joining either one.
Which one would you take?

If you process and scan or enlarge your own B&W film, then spacing issues aren't so bad as long as the frames don't overlap. If the frames do overlap or you have your printing done commercially, then I'd give the Zorki 3M the nod. Otherwise, the Kiev 4.

Best Regards,

Thanks, Bill.
I'm seeing your reply after getting back, since the site crashed and I was not able to read your reply before leaving.
I ened up taking the Zorki ... but it didn't really matter ... four days of rain, wind and generally ugly weather.
