Sent through the ether
I'm a fictional photographer in that it is fiction that I'm a photographer.
I shoot whatever interests me.
Funny categories. I think 'terrible' should be in there, too.
Is a personal photographer similar to a personal trainer or a personal shopper? And isn't it possible for someone who does mostly commercial work in the studio to be a fashion photographer? And is 'family and friends' or 'vacation' not 'personal'?
I put down 'street', in the meaning of urban landscape with or without people (mostly with), but it is all personal to me, so that would be appropriate too. 'Confused' sums up my general outlook on life, so it has an impact on my photography as well.
I think confusion kinda goes with being creative.

That is the optimistic way of looking at it. I think it can cut two ways though. I do like ambiguity as well. Good art tends to tweak people a certain way, to take them out of their comfort zone.
HDR all the way!
Other:
Observant would be a good description, thanks @maddoc.
I can't think of a better way to describe it. I'm a baker by trade, 3D artist by training (jewelry), and I have a T4 (color Fuji chrome 200) in my coat pocket and a CL (thanks @sepiareverb) with the CV 35/2.5 pancake around my neck (fomapan 100). I'm on my way to the bank, then back to the bakery. I'll probably stop on/under a bridge, or camp outside the grocery store for a bit on the way (I need to shop for dinner) then walk some friends' dog.
If Observant doesn't fit in 'other' then I suggest you call me a 'living' photographer, as there are things done and seen, recorded and [sadly] missed.
I just didn't want to use the typical "Popular Photography" magazine type of labels.
Personal photography, to me, is work you do for yourself by your own rules. I don't do family or vacation photos, but my work is personal. I think the difference is in what you consider your work to be... is it art or is it capturing memories for instance. Perhaps I should have used Travel over vacation? However, to me they are synonymous.
Yes, studio work can be fashion, but it certainly isn't the rule. Fashion doesn't have to be done in studios.
Again, no poll of this nature can be perfect... as I stated in the opening thread:
"Of course, I missed a few options, and some of you fit into many categories, but what best describes the bulk of your photography?"
Yeah, but if you're going to use unconventional categories like these you should at least allow multiple choices. What I meant with my the example of fashion and studio is that it's quite possible for the bulk of someones work to be made in the studio and be fashion photography. There's no way to pick one over the other.
Me, I consider myself a portrait photographer although that's not the necessarily the majority of my work. I often photograph models for model agencies so it does get a bit fashion-y at times although I prefer to look at it as stylized portraiture. Some of it is done in the studio and some of it outdoors. However, I also go out to take pictures when I feel the urge and some of it will be landscape and some 'street' and some of it maybe even still life. I also take pictures when I travel although I wouldn't exactly call it 'vacation photography'. I often carry a camera when I go out at night with friends although I wouldn't consider myself a 'party photographer'. I've done a few commercial still life jobs and I assist for a still life/landscape photographer although I'm definitely not a still life photographer (bores me to hell).
Most of the work I do I do because I want to and I try to do it on my own terms as much as I can. The reason I consider myself a portrait photographer is that I'm fascinated by people's faces (and postures) and it's what I most love doing.
