I believe in karma too so I would have done the same as you

I don't believe in karma but would still have done the same thing - for me moral action is nothing to do with what might come back to me as a result (in this life or any postulated future one)

Well, you did the right thing just as IJ would have done. It's not the value of the treasure but the history behind it that is important. Thanks for posting
