). First, iIf she knew the circumstances she would insist on coming along demanding to know how it is that I deserve a break and she doesn't, and secondly, if she knew the circumstances, she would bring the alchol, and lots of it. .

A power generaor with 1000 Gallons of fuel, plus a small A/C unit. I don't see this option though.
Next best choice, a satellite phone with spare batteries and solar charger. This way, my wife can inform me how she and the kids are doing. I could also call for help ....
