What would you have done?

You know, $65-$75 is somewhere between 5,000-6,000 Yen, so maybe he found a price online at a Japanese store and didn't know any better? 😀

I lie about how much my cameras cost... but in the opposite direction. I don't like admitting where all my money goes, hehe.

Back in the days of the OJ Simpson trial, one of the attorneys (I forget his name but he wore a buckskin shirt) wrote a book about how to win an argument everytime and he spoke then of his daughter using "UP" talk which is supposed to be ending every sentence on a high note.😛

Sorry, I can't type it, I can hardly mimic it.🙄

Back to the OP, you did great! I would have probably spoiled the moment for him by grinning like a Cheshire cat....😛

Yes, that lawyer, Gerry Spence, certainly was and is an eloquent speaker. He successfully represented the Silkwood Family. I kid you not, his wife's name is Imaging. But I digress.

Returning to the Starbucks story, in retrospect I think I did the right thing.
I'm 68 years old. There already exists a huge divide between the generations. Why should I make that kid doubt his Dad's story and/or show him up in front of his girlfriend? Sometimes it's better to let kids find the truth by themselves.
