I would love for Santa to be able to see to it that everyone gets back working. It breaks my heart to hear from those of you who are unemployed, or have ill spouses and other family members. I wish all of your loved ones good health in the coming days, and that you have much success in all of your endeavors in the coming year.

I don't "need" any more "stuff". I have oodles of camera gear, both digital and film, old and new. I have an oceanfront home in one of the world's most beautiful places. I have no debts. I have a loving, caring wife of 26 years, and a daughter planning a career in law enforcement. (RCMP officer) Both of my parents are alive and well. Oh, and I cannot forget to mention my loyal, loving little dog Chrissy who is always faithfully at my side. Honestly, I have everything that I need, and consider myself blessed to have so much. Sure, there is tons more that I would love to have, but honestly, I don't need any gear, or any other material things, for that matter.

But if I could have just one more thing, I would love for Mr./Mrs. Claus to give me my health back. There is nothing worse than spending most of my days flat on my back in bed, in constant pain. Oh, how I desperately miss my seaside walks around my beautiful Fogo Island with cameras in tow. How I miss just being able to step outside for a few minutes of fresh air and to watch the waves of the mighty North Atlantic wash up on our beach.

So please Santa, make me well enough to again be able to get up and about, and to do things together with my wife and daughter again, and to let me be there at my daughter's graduation ceremony to witness her be sworn in, looking splendid in her Mountie's red serge.

Please, once you get everyone back to work and fix everyone's ill loved ones, try to remember my wish also. I will be eternally grateful.

Glen

My wish would be for Santa to bring back the true meaning of this holiday and not all this commercialism and wants.
Spending time with family is much more important to me than anything material I might want or receive.

The truth about the situation in Fukushima, drinkable milk and eatable food within lower radiation limits ...

... Oh, and a black-chrome M4 and 35/2.0 Summicron-M. :)

Dear Santa,
Actually don't need anything at all but thanks for asking.
All the best to Mrs Claus and the reindeer,
me

I am probably a bit greedy here, but I'd like another Yashica 35 (45/1.9) (pre-Electro). I used mine today in church for the children's pagent with a Vivitar 283 and HP5+, and used 1/250 sync. Pretty nice having the Copal leaf shutter.

I believe you asked for money - in the spirit of the original question, I'd say something as nonspecific as 'the power to buy that which goes unnamed' is definitely taking the easy way out.

granted, it's a good universal answer, and could displace my trivial gear list (or anyone's, or a grocery list, vacation spot list, etc) just fine.

How did I "cheat"? :D

Apart from the obvious GAS relief...

Apart from the obvious GAS relief...

A better year ahead for everyone (might be a bit of a tall order for the old guy)

Good news from the specialist when I go see him in January :(

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot... a worldwide upsurge in the sales of film! :D

Getting xtol, fixer, stop ,themometers, changing bag ,a couple 120 reels and 10 rolls of neopan.:D Already had the tank and pyrex measuring cups so I'll be set to try my hand at developing. I had to order it myself because even with a list with stock numbers and freestyle's web address it was to confusing for Santa.

Similar for me, though I had the changing bag (new in its original packaging) basically fall into my lap for no cost, and I'm keeping an eye on Craigslist for thermometer, timer, graduated cylinders etc. Will probably buy the chemicals and tank new because who wants a leaky tank or expired chemistry. And a bunch of film.

Less spendy than buying new cameras and lenses, which doubly makes sense (I'm between jobs, so I don't have much money but I do have time to mess around with developing my own film).
