It dawns on me that a lot of us tend to buy more than one FSU camera  be it a rangefinder , SLR , medium format even large format  and whilst we have"Just waiting for the mail anyone?", and "Look what came in the mail" thread's in the general discussion forum , I wonder if it's worth having a Solely FSU thread in this forum , where it's less likely to be missed ?

To start the ball rolling
"In the post " a Fotokor 9x12 plate camera (spares camera)
"arrived in the mail" a Fotokor 9x12 plate camera and 4 double darkslides

Paul .

Good luck with FSU stuff (more in terms of enjoyment rather than reliability) caused me to seek out some more FSU gear.

In the post - a Helios 40-2 85/1,5 from DVDtechnik in Kiev

(and also some extras for this lens - a M42 to PK adaptor, PK rear cap, B+W UV filter, and collapsible lenshood... all from Hong Kong)

Hi,I just recieved my Zorki 3M back from a CLA at Fedka's.The initial 12 role came out nice, going out today for it's real " trial run".........Robin

I'm just getting into RF camera's here.
After using numerous Pentax SLR's and a Pentax Digital SLR I feel that I want to get back to basics and try my hand at photography the way it used to be done.

I've had abit of a false start with a FED-2 that has shutter issues. I must get that one CLA'd some time.

Right now I have another FED-2 on it's way from a reputable source here in the UK. To accompany it I have a Weston Master IV light meter and a 40.5 Star Hood also in the mail.

Hi... I'm chuckling!...

What is in the post, literally, is an I-61 l/d and Fed-50/3.5 Elmar type.
The items have been here for a few days, and the postal workers are
into cutbacks, pressing for higher wages and benefits. Since Sunday is
the first day of the work week here, I expect to get the lenses tomorrow.

Cheers, mike

Somewhere between here and Russia are a Moskva 5 and an Iskra folder and the wait is killing me. I have five rolls of Fuji Reala and five of Kodak Portra sitting on the table waiting ... you can only spend so much time fondling film! :p

Just arrived are a Zenit C (my second one) because it went very cheaply and ditto a '62 Zorki 4. The 4 needs a good CLA although it's basically working. The Zenit is a bit shabby but all seems to work.

In the post is a '64 Kiev 4a from DVD with a case, film spool, J8 in Kiev mount and a lens cap. It's been 8 days, and there's still no word. :(

And, I've just received a letter from Jay, with a shutter curtain and shutter ribbons! Thanks Jay! :)

Just got the parts to fix my broken Z6 from Paul. Big thumbs up and a hearty thank you goes out to Paul for that. Friday was a Z6 from fedka, that was supposed to be a parts camera. Ten minutes of tinkering and that idea was out the window. I guess I know have two Z6s. YIPEEE!!!!!

Waiting on a CLA'd FED 2 from Oleg.He has just moved home,so his cameras, spares and tools were in packing cases last time I heard from him---but can't be too long now!

I sold my Feds to finance something more expensive, only to find that the grass was not greener on the other side, and it didn't click with me,so now I need to get a Fed 2 back into my hands. As Noel says---'OH DEAR'.

I seem to qualfy for the label---'there's no fool like an old fool'!

Let you know when the Fed gets here.:)

Brian.

Earlier today arrived a Kiev-4m with Helios-103. As extras I got 2 kiev cassettes, 2 yellow filters, a cable release and the russian manual.

This is for Brian [scotforthlad],

I'll be delighted to see and hear about your Oleg Fed-2.
It's the Fed-2 and Bessa R that feel so good in use, alongside my M2.

Cheers lad,
mike

Will let you know,
Cheers,
Brian.

Just arrived - Kiev 4a (seem to be a few of these moving about right now!) with all the stuff listed below.

On its way - a J-9 from Spyderman to complement it all!

Jamie

S*~t & bureaucracy!
The PO sent me to the other side of town with the form to
pick up the 1-61, and whatever package is there, is in someone
else's name. On to my local PO to do battle... I may end up on
one of those Talk Shows, that deal with this kind of stuff.
Damn! mike; can't complain, usually ;-)
