Yashica GT, in my newbie case. No bad exposures! But I moved it along after I got the Retina IIa with the 50/2 Xenon for even less ($30) plus being more pocketable.
Don't be in too much of a hurry and good deals are where you find them.
Canonets are great cameras, but they don't really average under $50, especially after you add the cost of new seals. Additionally, you don't want to send a newbie to get a fixer upper.
Olympus 35RC is the best. Offers quite a lot for almost nothing. Plus it is small and really cute!
