What's the deal with 2 gallery photos-- Drum and For Rent ???

Very often when I go to the gallery, I'll see 2 B&W photos that have been there for months. Maybe more than a year.

They're both nice photos, but I don't understand why the 2 of them always seem to show up.

One is called Drum (tight shot of an animal hide drum), and the other is For Rent (shot of For Rent sign in an upper story window of a brick building).

Usually when I click on the Gallery tab, I won't see them. I see newly uploaded photos. But if I leave a comment on a photo and then back out, I see these 2 photos, along with some others that are recent.

There are other times when they show up also (maybe when I first come to the site).

Anyway, just wondering if this is true for everyone. And why it happens.

As I said, the shots are nice ones, but I must say, I'm annoyed that they're always there.
 
I always get this too. I've wondered if they're two of the first pictures in the gallery and so they're at the start of the 'scroll' whilst the newer ones are at the end of the scroll. Having said that I've never looked at the dates on them.

No idea if this is the case but I'm betting it's the same for everyone...I think ;)

Right, same with me and one of the photos is a rather dull one of a brick building. Always there, and I think one other... peculiarity of the gallery software?
 
I have tried in vain to locate these two images in the gallery. Maybe it is your computer that is always stuck there?

Hello joe, that makes sense. I didn't think of it.

The most reliable way to navigate there seems to be:

Go to Gallery tab
Select a photo and post a comment
When you navigate backward after leaving comment, you should see the 2 photos

Actually, even before navigating backwards, as soon as I posted a comment, I saw the 2 photos.

The photos are apparently from about April-May of 2006, based on dates from post and first comments.

I get them as well, on four computers. I just thought someone thought they were very special. ;-) Reviews are pretty good on them, I may give one a review before they are "fixed" ;-)

They just came up after a test comment post, the first of the For Rent sign is dated May 2005 by Reagan, and has 3033 views, with the last comment May 1, 2009.

Second, Drum, is from 2006, only 1160 views, is by Nearsighted.

I just went and looked, and YES! the two I always see are indeed "Drum" and "For Rent", the latter being the well-commented brick building photo that I mentioned. After I leave a comment on a gallery photo, that photo's position in the horizontal row of thumbnails at the top of the photo's page changes, and in the new row lineup Drum and For Rent are the leftmost two thumbnails, every time.
 
ok, i found them.
you are talking about the strip of photos above the photo that you commented on?

if you look at the strip there are arrows on each end, click on the arrows a few times. i did that, made a comment on a photo and after the strip of photos above the commented on photo contained different pics.
