Whats up with Adorama?

Even though I do quite a bit of Internet shopping, I still much prefer talking to a live person in 'meatspace' who can (hopefully) answer any questions I might have and where I can actually put hands-on the item I want to purchase. I've been disapppointed a few too many times by items that look and sound great online or in magazine reviews but when I can actually physically handle them, I'm underwhelmed by the build quality, find that they just don't feel good in my smaller-than-average hands, etc.

Then again, there's always the fun experience of going into the store to buy film and spotting a really unique/desirable item for sale on the shelf... which reminds me, I'll have to go back to that store and check out the Nikon F4s I saw... :)

I prefer BH over Adorama. I live in VT and go to school in NY, and when I order from BH it usually gets to either place within 2 days.

The only thing that bugs me about BH is that they won't ship certain chemicals. In those cases, I order from Adorama, and end up waiting about a week or so. I check the order status, and it always seems to get stuck on a step for a few days. It's really a pain.

Bottom line: I order from BH whenever possible.

Adorama - OK

Adorama - OK

Hi,

I prefer Adorama, I go to different retailers to find out everything else about the thing I am about to by and then I buy it on Adorama. They are reliable and their prices are competitive. Even if you live in Europe and have to have it shipped to there.
