Film is the other way
I am not sure what is happening but currently there are 6 Mamiya 7's for sale here on the RFF classified board!
These are exceptional cameras. Anyone have any ideas?

The best camera is one that still works!
You mean you've not heard about the new Bronica? ... just joshin'.
There do seem to be a lot going through though lately!
The other thing I've noticed quite a few of is 75mm and 90mm Voigtlander lenses. I'll probably be adding my 90mm Apo Lanthar to the list soon ... I can't remember the last time I used that focal length on any rangefinder!

There are more M7 lenses for sale lately too... Digital is starting to mature, that's my guess. Although I must admit to being very smitten with a 5x4 Horseman Field camera today. There's nothing like looking at that ground glass under a hood! Of course, that has nothing to do with film and digital...

I just sold mine to Erik (his friend) in favor of my 120 SLR (Pentax 645nii). I might go digital someday soon, but I still like the tonality of 120 film. I didn't think the 6x7 to 6x4.5 was that bad of an image loss, and my Pentax is very robust, whereas I feel the need to baby the Mamiya. Automatic functions and zoom capability is a plus--
I'm sticking with 35mm for the rangefinder shooting mode, though.

Mine is still for sale, I wanted to simplify my "life" so I am sticking to a fixed-lens RF 120 camera (Fuji gw670iii).

Erik, I've had a 6 for a long time and I like this MF series from Mamiya. I was just puzzled to see so many on the list at the same time
Keith, if they're the new Bronica, I'm not sure if I should 'hold or fold'!
TJV, the Horseman is a fine camera, I'm in the economy leagues with a Crown Graphic.
Lic4, from what I've seen that 6x7 Pentax is definitely 'robust'
Jay C, the Fuji 6x7 is a good choice. I've a BL G690 and it's reliable

it's the "opportunity" effect

If there's already an ad for a camera/lens/etc up on the classifieds, then there might be a market for another. Kinda like Burger King building across the street from Mickey D.

Yep. Personally I'm surprised that there aren't many 35mm of various flavours being sold to fund the new Nokton. Only reason I sold my 7 was because I didn't like the format - can only scan two frames at a time on a Coolscan and that's a pain compared to the 4 you can with 6x4.5. Getting 16 shots makes medium format very usable as well, was always burning film too quickly in 6x7.

The beginning of the end for Mamiya.
But seriously, I don't know. I wish they'd wait until I have the money! I want one of those. Seriously.
