Or more with Rolleicord III screen hood.
When I open it rear part falls. I guess that one rivet is missing, but maybe also something more?
Does anyone have repair manual for this model?
All the best

Yes, there's a rivet on the right hand side of the rear part of the hood which slides up and down in a curved slot. Without the rivet, there's no rigidity at all - it''s a key part of the assembly that makes the hood 'self-erect.' I would imagine that it's quite a quick fix for anyone with a little shop experience. I'd guess that the right (Rollei) rivet would be tough to find. If it happened to mine, I'd epoxy a pin in there and tidy it up with flat black paint. Good luck with your repair though, Zbigniew...Tony W

Made an image of my Rolleicord III Viewing Hood to show that special form rivet.
Diameter of the rivet head is circa 3.6mm.

An old exploded view service drawing of the III even shows this rivet.
The sparepart number mentioned there is S.492/5

I really don't know if that part name was ever changed in the notation later used by Rollei.
But 0049.2.82.0 SHOULOER RIVET might be a candidate.

Thanks Hans!
So this rivet should look like this:

A or B? However IMO that doesn't matter so much.
I'm thinking about making it from other brass rivet - something like that -

by removing some metal.
BTW your Flickr page is awesome
Thanks again

Guess Rollei would use type B.
This shape provides the best guide for the side plate, would be well attached and does not squeeze the plates together (so only little friction )

Of course, instead of a rivet you might also try to glue a similar shaped post there .
