What's your 2014 1 camera, 1 lens setup?

I have had great fun with a Nikon F5 and 50mm f1.8 af D. I may not use it exclusively, but it will be my first choice for non rangefinder shooting. I may just forego the af and use my 50mm f1.4 ais instead. That is a great lens and renders beautifully. Film will be Tri-X, of course....

Sold my leica M9 and cron 35 before 2013 ended.

This year i'm going to make a come back to film with an M2 and a cron 50. I had always been a 35 guy in the past and it's time to make a change. New year, new focal length !

Come to think of it I think I'd quite like to concentrate on using a Leica Monochrom with 50mm Noct, 35mm Summilux and 75mm Summilux. I just have to come up with the twenty five G's and I'm good to go! 😀

Keith, for less than $5k you can do an M8 with a VC 28/2, VC 35/1.2, and 75mm f/1.8 (or if you're really up for some fun the 50/f1.1) For most mortals it's as close as you can get to the setup you described (at least that I could afford!)

I'm doing something different this year and I've re-bought some Hassy gear, so to pay for it my M8 (and my R8 kit) are going to have to find a new home. I'm gonna miss it tho. My M9P will just have to do by itself. (Well, accompanied by my M4-P.) I'm gonna miss the b&w output of the M8 tho. I'm going to shoot more film this year.

My 2014 1 camera - 1 lens project started out just fine. January 1, 2014. Linhof Technkia V and Fujinon-W 125/5.6. That lasted for about an hour and two holders. I changed locations. The new scene demanded a longer lens. Out came the Fujinon-W 250/6.3. At that point I became firmly committed to a 1 camera - 2 lens project. 😉
I tried. 😎
It did feel good to start 2014 on Day 1 with a photo road trip.

It's only Day #2 and I already rewrote my set of promises for 2014, and just bought some Tri-X and took the Hexar out of the glass case and installed a strap and battery and dusted the lens off.

Like the movies where the retired gunfighter takes his guns off the wall, loads up and spins the cylinder while staring into the camera (fade to black).

Fujica 690 + 100/3.5AE w & wo Auto Up close up adapter.

6x9 + AE + closeup head shot/environmental portraits - my favorites!

Seeing as I sold off most of my gear in 2013, I'll be shooting with an x100s (digital) and a M2+50 'cron (film) in 2014. Have about 150 rolls of film in the freezer that'll be expiring throughout the year so film will be what I use most often.
