Has there been a "What's your dayjob" poll yet? Let's know & if not, I'll get one going!
Please add suggestions for job categories.
Ben.

I hardly think it's worth a category, but I'm Head of admission at a European university.

Hey, you're an important person to know...I've always wanted to study in Europe. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the importance spectrum, I'm an engineer. Also a teacher in the off-hours, too.

Cheers,

Let's choose a list of "job categories/job classifications" for the poll.
e.g. "Arts/Advertising/Media/Entertainment" includes actors, artists, journalists, designers.

Here's the list of 12 (max for a poll) so far.

Accounting, Banking & Finance/Insurance & Superannuation
Arts/Advertising/Media/Entertainment
Building & Construction
Education & Training/Community & Sport
Healthcare & Medical
Information & Technology
Legal/Law Enforcement/Security/Defence
Manufacturing & Primary Industry/Mining, Oil & Gas
Retail & Customer Service/Sales & Marketing/Real Estate & Property/Hospitality & Tourism
Student
Transport & Logistics

You forgot one...Student. Also I'm a media technician or "sound guy" if you will, although there probably aren't a lot for that category. Rentals would work I guess.

For the sake of the poll, let's work on the list & direct your job towards the related industry, rather than the specific job title.
An admin assistant at a school/uni would come under "Education/Training".
Joe, I've now included student on the list!
Ben.

IT Consultant on Networks, Datacenters and Disaster&Recovery.... for too long I guess

The list looks fine to me...

How does a system administrator in a university qualify? As an Information & Technology worker for an Education & Training institution?

Following an education to become a Piano tuner and technician. I'm working in a piano workshop as well to get praktical experience. :)
