What's your favorite film Nikon F Series ?

i have a brassed black eye level nikon f apollo with a 35mm f2 ais and 50mm 1.8. funny thing is i hardly shoot this camera much anymore as i have a rz67. something about the camera just makes it hard to let go. i recently sold my olympus om1n kit which i must say is the best viewfinder ive ever used. it was to small for my hands so sold it. i should really sale the nikon and get a m2 but it feels like its my child to me now lol. such a beautiful camera

I've owned most all of them and still do. My go to for film is the Nikon FE (not the FE2). It just works.

Nikon FE is the best Nikon film SLR. Simple, manual or aperture priority auto, available battery, match-needle meter, small size, good viewfinder and choice of screens.
FT2 is the best Nikkormat. Solid, mechanical, available battery. Cheap.
Everything else will be good for something, but these cameras have everything you need to make great pictures.

I've owned the F, F2, and F3. The only one I kept is the F3.

whats funny is i always wanted a f3. i loved the viewfinder. since getting the nikon f apollo ive bought and sold two nikon f3 and two fm2n cameras and kept the apollo. some camera just feel made for you i guess no matter its limitations.

My dream setup would be a chrome eyelevel F (the first one) with the 9 bladed 105mm sonnar, 58, 35. All the early tick mark versions.

If you shop around, the first versions after the tick marks can be found for considerably less money. I bought a nine blade 105 with the long aperture ring but no tick mark for about a third of the collectors price. Came with the correct hood, caps and bubble case too.
