My last trip, I took the iPhone 8 Plus along with the Polaroid SLR670a by MiNT. Got very appealing photographs with both.

outside of North America, largest I've traveled with would be the Fuji GSW690III and smallest would also be the Nikon AF600.
within N.A. it would be a Toyo CF 4x5, smallest either the Nikon AF600 or XA4.

When we go travelling to new places we both take the same camera as we need less spare batteries and chargers (meaning only one of each). And we have a back up both can use without mental gymnastics.
We've tried this with 'phones but although we have the same make and model with the settings carefully duplicated and up dated etc they are chalk and cheese for some unknown reason.
Regards, David

I went on a three-day backpacking trip to Yosemite National Park last week. In order of size, I brought Nikon FM2n + AI Nikkor 50/1.8S (Japanese-market pancake version), Olympus Pen S 3cm/2.8 (for Pen-o-ramas), and a Google Pixel 2. I carried the FM2n on a Peak Design Capture Clip attached to my pack's shoulder strap, the Pen S in a waist-belt pouch on my pack, and the Pixel 2 in my pocket.
Haven't developed the film from the FM2n or Pen S yet, but the Pixel 2 with a little on-phone editing in Snapseed, gave me this result:

When I travel with my cameras I like redundancy.
A7ii - Big

I usually have two of the SD1000's with me, even if I'm not carrying a bigger camera. They're small and don't weigh much so why not?
That's a nice shot of Half Dome.

Well, I have bigger cameras (medium format) but for our 2007 Puerto Rico trip my "big" one was a Contax G2 with Fuji NPH400. And the small one was a tiny Canon ELPH jr with Kodak Black&White 400 APS film in a belt pouch. Very handy.

Nice. As the XA already has a 35mm lens I assume 50 on the M2?

My medium format rangefinder does not have a built-in light meter. To determine the correct exposure, I sometimes use a compact digital camera to determine the correct exposure. The two cameras make a good combo.

Usually. Typically, I shoot bw in the M2 and color in the XA, and would take along both 50 and 35 lenses for the M2. I love shooting a 50 on the M2 b/c you can see around the framelines easily.
It's great to have a quality camera that can slip into a pocket, whether I'm carrying the M2 at the moment or not.

Off topic - noticed you live in Sacramento. Just was there last weekend for the first time. Did a lot of walking - love the mid-town area! - and stumbled upon Mike's Camera. Didn't need any film but bought some anyway!
Love shops like that.

Ha! Welcome to Sacto! Mid-town is great. There are a bunch of photogs around here (some of whom are members of RFF) who love to shoot in mid-town w/ vintage gear. I regularly get my C41 film processed at Mike's; I'm on a first-name basis there...
Next time your travels take you to Sac, let me know...
