and, yes, I do have the M6, I look at the stuff I've shot with the G2 over the years. I've been drooling over the 75/2 and 90/2 Summicrons but realize that the results with those lenses will not be any better than those taken with my 90/2.8 Sonnar and the G2, so the urges quickly go away. Silly post, yes, but I just thought I'd share some feelings.

When I get it, I usually compare prices of Leica lens hoods against the 45 Planar, and the feeling passes....

I remember that I can't afford a Leica, or even a Bessa for that matter, and that I have a wonderful Canon P with decent Russian glass. That's enough for me right now.

Judging from the quality of your work, Charles, you don't need Leica, unless you want to.

Thanks, Tom...the G2 has served me well. I sometimes suffer from "the grass is awlays greener" syndrome, but usually snap out of it quickly. I got sucked up into the digital world but have safely returned to using film as much as I can. Most models I work with these days don't want prints, just CDs, so digital is quick and easy, but for everything else...film.
