Where are the affordable viewfinders?

Viewfinders always seem disproportionally expensive. The quality of the glass can be pretty low right?

I would think it is because they are made in small quantities. I would think that VFs are niche within a niche product. many rangefinder users never even bother with an external OVF.

Yashica made made auxiliary finders too. With framelines but i think they made ones for 35mm.

I tried the plastic ones from russia. In use they are great but mine broke as soon as I removed it from my the IIc. The plastic foot cracked.

I eish i can find a cheap sbloo though :)

It cost all of $25.00 and another couple of dollars in shipping.
Unless you used all of you Life Savings to pay for it, how big a mistake could it have been???????

So many questions marks, wow...
Have you ever looked through one of those finders?
I didn't expect Voigtlander quality but
the one I bought from Israel was definitely not worth $25.
It was a tiny, crooked peephole, really useless.

I do not have any Life Savings btw.

OK. Fair enough.
I expected it would be as you described. But it was a rather inexpensive misadventure. As you know, it could have been far worse.
Live and learn.
Too bad about the Life Savings though.
