I don't know but a great camera. The Nikkor f1.4 that came with it is a Sonnar design. Beautiful B&W reporduction. But, oh...that shutter. It sounds more like an SLR. With a lens they were going for about $800 plus or minus based on condition but now with the introduction of the Leica M9 the market is in flux (not to mention...but I did...the world economy).

I actually have three lenses for it: The 50mm f1.4 that you mentioned as well as a 135mm f3.5 and a 35mm f2.5. I have the nonspecific manual for it and a flash, but I'm sure I'll never find bulbs for it.
By "nonspecific" I mean its a general instruction manual for that series of rangefinders.

the camera is the commonest of the nikon rangefinders , still it is a great camera -- if you decide to sell you can probably get more from it by separateing the outfit --- the 3.5cm 2.5 is of great interest , the 135 will not get much $100 perhaps if nice . the body paired with the 1.4 another great outfit .

The S2 was my first Nikon Rangefinder - bought it over the internet from a shop in the UK after having read a lot of posts here at RFF and asked questions to understand the Nikon rangefinder system better.... After the S2 the interest grew and I have added more and more Nikon rangefinder cameras and lenses but my first S2 is still being used. It is a greta camera!
