Where to buy RF in London of Suffolk/Norfolk

Hello friends!

I'm goign to spend 3 weeks in England this August. Could you please advice me a good used camera shop in London or Suffolk/Norfolk. Here in Moscow the market is overpriced and buying online is difficult due to customs procedures...

I would second Ffordes but they are in the north of Scotland. Very good prices though and next day delivery so you could always have it mailed to where your staying.

If your going to Aperture (Which very close to the British Musuem) there are several Good camera shops in the area. Check out Pied Bull Yard to the rear of York Cameras which has several small Leica specialists

I have not heard any stories but I have not bought from them though when I was in search of takeup spool for my IIIg the chap in there was very helpful. They have been around a very long time so they must be doing something right.
It's kind of place you go in and say have you got one of these rather than go in for a browse. Things are not really displayed more piled up!!!
Dont seem as good on price as say ffordes but more reasonable than Aperture

I say you should be fast: Reddot have an M5 in good user condition. GBP 399. I'd pick it up myself but do not have the funds available.

The M5 is a brilliant camera! and usually a lot more expensive, I might add. 🙂

Highly appreciate the links to shops close to the British Museum, I'll be visiting Broadstairs in October and suppose we'll be treated to a day in London as well, possibly the Museum.

In case there's some time to spare, I'll know where to head for!

Otherwise, it'll probably be Canterbury to visit, but I'm sure some nice shops can be found there as well, right?

Well, I thought I'll read this thread, because it's UK based, finish my coffee and head off to work. Well, I can be of sort of help too.

Canterbury isn't a massive city but it's got some good kooky shops. There is a camera shop just outside of the city centre:

If you keep on walking down the central street through the city (St. Georges Street, the old A2) and out the other end go through the subway to the otherside of the ring road and keep going, it's probably signed Dover. About 300yds past the Odeon cinema on the right is an Aldi supermarket, turn in just before it and there's a small precinct. They're tucked away in there.

They had all manner of stuff, digital, film, 35mm, medium format, paper, darkroom stuff. Very helpful. Sorted out my poor Ultron 35mm after 150 miles of wandering (Well, tightened the screws.)

If you get to a cross-roads signed for Sandwich to the left, you've gone too far.

There might be other shops but I didn't spot them (apart from Jessops which are 2-a-penny but they do sell a half reasonable range of film, and Boots may have a stash of Kodachrome if that's your thing)

Thanks Vicky! This will come in very handy! I'll be staying in Canterbury from October 16th to 18th before leaving for Broadstairs, so I certainly have time to check the store out!

I'm hoping for a sixties era screw mount lens 85mm or 90mm to complement my set of vintage B&W lenses, preferably Canon. Probably won't find it, but it'll be a nice browse none the less, I reckon.

Boots and Jessop's I'll ask the hotel desk for or figure it out myself, it'll be nice cruising Canterbury for two days before heading off!
