New York Where to find apartments for rent in NYC?

I'm not sure what currency we are talking about, but if it is Swiss Franks, before long it may well be.

Ha! It is! :)

It's really crazy how much the dollar has gone down in relation to the Swiss Franc recently. Like almost 25% in just a couple of months.

Yeah, Cal's a good quote machine. Sounds like your friend will do just fine on the UES. And the amount of cash she has for rent will do very well. Check out the list I posted and just have her start calling around.

Even crazier is how much one ounce gold Canadian Maple Leafs and U.S. pre-1933 gold coins.

Kaa-Ching.

I should also add that 'clean and boring' is right up her alley as far as the location of the apartment is concerned. Doorman is also preferred. And while she doesn't have a lapdog, fake boobs or a fur coat, this would probably be more her scene than Williamsburg hipsters at least as far as living is concerned.

Call me an old hippy, but I like in the Lou Reed song I perfer walking on the "wild side."

BTW Cristian's reference to my "icepick" is my Leica M6 equipt with TA Rapidgrip and TA Rapidwinder. Cristian accually prevented me from inadvertently/accidently stabbing a few pedestrians with the spike that comes out from my Rapidwinder, when we were just talking on a street corner.

The thing is, she's going to NY alone for about 5 months and would like a nice apartment in a fairly safe, quiet and nice neighborhood. While she does like to ''walk on the wild side'' every now and then, it doesn't have to be in front of her door. One can always take a cab or the subway to some other neighborhood. She's also fairly well off and dresses accordingly so I don't think she'd fit in in a hippie neighborhood :).

It's funny, but I think you'd fit in well on the Upper East Side Cal.

Actually its too clean and civilized for me, but you might be onto something there. My girlfriend says I clean up good, and when I get dressed up in my expensive clothes and present myself with all my luxury accessories I look like a very-very rich guy, but in my heart I'm just a dirt bag artist who really is just a slacker.

Because I once was a performance artist I really get a kick out of posing like a rich guy. Even funnier is how I got A-listed and get invited to meet heads of state, the famous and even Mayor Bloomberg. Don't tell anyone but Mike is really-really short. In fact he is the shortest billionair I know. LOL. BTW I was the only guy wearing a Hawian shirt at Gracie Mansion who looked like a surfer among all the power suits. LOL.
