Where to get good scans
I have a large collection of very good photos I have taken over the years that I would like to have scanned onto CDs. I don't like the scan results from the local mini-lab. Do any of you RFers know of a good mail-order lab that does good scans at a reasonable rate?

They scan on proper film scanners but don't charge the price you'd usually pay for that kind of service (if i remember rightly because they do it in India where labour is cheap).
I've got no personal experience with them.

Purchasing a used scanner has crossed my mind. I have no experience here as I am just starting to add digital to my photographic efforts. Any suggestions are appreciated.
