White House has been a digital-only facility since about 2002 (no film). So they're not a solution, unless, of course, you're making a larger point here. 🙄
Oh wait,
with all the sniping about the Mets and Yankees, I actually had a suggestion. The lab "68 Degrees" located at Broadway and Canal specializes in B&W. Outstanding eresults, albeit a little expensive. They'll also do alternative developers, like pyro. They are a bit expensive, but they produced the best quality in terms of dust and scratches. There's another B&W specialty lab called M&V Labs on the west side that's supposed to be good, but I've never used them.
As to the Mets and Yankees, we'll see what happens in two weeks. 🙂
since i live in switzerland (a little far away from NY) I can't say I have much experience with labs in NY but someone on another forum frequently posted terrific scans(he had them develop and scan at the lab) from this lab: http://www.lusterphoto.com/
Like I said...I haven't tried it myself but if they develop the film as well as they scan them it sure is worth giving a try.

Yes, 68 Degrees...good guys there. Not cheap (one look at their facilites explains why, and they're not exactly in the cheapest parcel of real estate around). Lower Manhattan, especially, has quite a few decent labs, and everyone has their favorite (the ones mentioned here thus far are all good).
And, yes, I've heard about some lab in Williamsburg, but haven't stumbled across it yet. From where I am in Brooklyn, however, it's not all that much more effort to do the bridge n' tunnel thing and use a Manhattan lab.
ooops, my mistake. I didnt realize they went all digital. Thanks for the correction.

Any recommendations for labs that will do cross processing in either Brooklyn or Manhattan? I'm going to shoot some slide film that I want to cross process this weekend. I usually send all my slide film out to A and I but it's pricey with the shipping and it takes a few weeks. They do a fantastic job though.
