Ok, so I burned my first roll of Ektar 100 in 120 over the weekend. Not I find that the remaining Ritz camera in my area does not have anyone that knows how to process it. They want to send it out with a 2-3 week turn around.
I just want developed and sleeved negatives.

Any ideas where I can get fast and inexpensive service? I'm not looking for "pro lab" here.

Thanks,

E&J in Dublin, CA will be happy to do it for you. I have used them for 3-4 years and they charge $5.00 for a roll. I'm sure you will have to pay postage.

Steve, if you think about it, I need that pinhole company you recommended, I bookmarked it but deleted. Enjoy Ektar100 I haven't finished my first 120 roll in the flipped lens BHF. But here is one from 35mm:

If the work is for myself I use Walmart -- usually about $3.50 per roll a week later. Sometimes they throw in proofs (3x3), sometimes they dont. If its an important job where I need pro work, the I'll ship to A&I and pass on the cost.

I can take 20 rolls to Walmart and walk out for about $70 (US). If all my experiments went to the pro lab it would cost somewhere $380 (US). I dont need to be an accountant to know this is a deal breaker.

If its for a paid client, then I'll go to the best lab and pass on the cost.

My low-cost strategy works for me. It allows me to continue shooting MF with impunity.

My Walmart charges me 84 cents plus tax per roll of 120 C41, negatives processed only. Turnaround takes about 10-14 days, as the negs are sent to Fuji Processing.

Have you checked out these guys... almost in your neighborhood:

http://colormark.com/index.html

Colormark/Photomark is about a 45 minute drive each way from my house, if there's no significant traffic.

I guess I'll ask at Walmart. I just hate sending anything away frankly. Heck, If I'd shot black and white, I would have finished scanning it by now.

Thanks for the site, Steve. And I agree I like to take it in. I'll tell you about the pinhole project: as you know I never do anything the normal way: this one is a Agfa Isolette II converted to pinhole.

My local Moto Photo does 120, and charges like $3 per roll process only. Not sure if you have any in your area or not, but it always saves me the 30 minute drive to the pro lab up in the city.

I clean forgot about Motophoto! There is one just 4 miles from my house (out of the way location I never pass...which is why I forgot).
I've emailed them to ask.
Thanks,
