I can't help you with a confirmed identification - but with the lever-wind and solid back is it possible that he's using something like a Nicca 3F?

(edit: wait, no, that can't be right - the knob around the winding lever, as well as the protrusion on the left side of the camera, both look unlike the Nicca)

Either Zorki-5 or 6, if they indeed are his hands.
He visited Soviet Union at least once, maybe he was asked to try it out?

HCB visited the USSR in 1954. So there must have been some other reason he was checking out a Zorki 5. I kind of wonder what impression it left on him.
