Which Camera/Lens are you using this Weekend?

My second camera will most likely be the M3 with the 35mm Summicron.

That's not the most natural combination of body and lens, Raid. Do you/will you use an external finder?

I am in the process of loading a Yashica GSN with Reala 100. I have never used the GSN before. I found a lens hood for it and also a battery for the automatic and the meter. We have plenty of sunny skies here in Florida, so the weather is not a problem right now.

I have been recently exploring the long fishing pier at Pensacola Beach. You can walk on it and then turn around and shoot the beaches from above the water of the Gulf of Mexico.

What kind of lens hood are you going to use with it? I was using my Electro G without a hood but found I was getting too many shots with flare. I bought an Electro GS that came with the kit so I'm using the original Yashica hood for my next roll and see if that helps. I've also got a later G hood on the way. Won't know for sure until I get it if it's really any different.

A shot from my Saturday afternoon wander in the drizzle.
Canon 7, Canon 50/1.8, FP4+ in 1+14 Ilfosol for 9 minutes.

Just returned from the Kansas City Irish Fest. What a great event. Large crowds with great music.

Frank: My 35mm Summicron has Goggles, so I don't need any external finder.

James: I just tried out a few lens hoods I have at home until I found the right filter size. I think, it is 58mm, isn't it? I always use a lens hood for all my lenses.
With color slide film, richer colors are obtained.

I just got a Nikkor 28mm f/1.4 AF-D and an F4 to use it on. I traded a bunch of Leica M lenses for it. This week I am going to a very far away place with 20 rools of Velvia 100 to try it out.

We went to Old Town in Scottsdale for a while this afternoon. The MP3 and 50 Lux ASPH are going to the main weapons this weekend.

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday.

Best,

Ray

Today: Finished my first roll of Ilford XP2 Super in the M5 with the 50mm DR Summicron.

Tomorrow: Not too sure. All cameras are empty at the moment except for Dad's old Konica loaded with some awful Kodak 400 Max color negative film. For testing purposes only. I don't want to put real film in this camera until I know that it doesn't leak and works ok.

Beyond that, no clue.

Today. Sunday. Dad's Konica from 194something or 195something. The rangefinder patch is bright and sharp. The leaf shutter is soooooooo smooth and quiet. So much so that I set it off accidentally once this morning. Remembering to advance the film before cocking the shutter: Priceless!

I sure hope this thing works.

today i actually put the 90/4 on the camera (zi) and took only a few shots.
after getting myself ready and out the door, when i arrived at my destination i wasn't feeling well and cut my excursion very short.

Saturday: Leica M3, Hasselblad and digital P&S
Sunday: Leica M3 and Hasselblad
Monday: Dunno
