Got a user Canon screw mount coming in a trade. He doesn't know what the model is and I'm going crosseyed at the Canon museum trying to figure it out.

Only have a I61L/D for now, but we'll see how it goes.

Thanks!

No clue but he says everything still works fine. He's someone I trust on that, so, as I said, it's a User, baby...

(sorry, couldn't resist.)

Yep, from that page it's a IVSB. I had wondered if that was the model from looking at the museum web site, but wasn't sure.

Thanks all!

So that's who got Mike's Canon RF :)... I'm surprised he didn't know which model it was.

I really like these little guys. Enjoy William, your ID 61 will be great with it.

KL - yeah, he and I came to a deal involving a Retina II that didn't want to let me fix it.

joe - Mike Elek. He used to be a common poster at Pnet's Classic forum but is mostly over at Nelsonfoto now. A good shooter of classics, especially ZI's.

Now I suppose I should start looking for user class Canon 50/1.9 or 50/1.8 lenses... ;)

Hey guys -- that was my camera. I bought it a few years ago for way too much money because I really wanted the East German Sonnar in LTM mount that was attached to the front. Still have the lens. Because I don't dabble in Canons, I decided to sell it. I'm beginning to trim my collection of little-used cameras.

Here are some more.

As far as this Canon, I don't know what the heck happened to it. Surprisingly, the rangefinder system is unaffected. I had to recalibrate for horizontal, but it otherwise was fine. The shutter stuttered on the slow speeds, but I serviced that, and in two years since it's been running fine.

I call it a "user" camera in every sense of the word. Not pretty, and probably not a camera that you'll have to worry about having stolen.

I'm pretty happy with what I'm hearing. Even better to know you did the shutter so I shouldn't have to worry about that for awhile. I figure it'll be a nice one to have hiding in my bag when I'm out and about with the Speed Graphic.

And "user" is music to my cheap ears... ;) Of course now I have to learn how to load a bottom loader

I put a roll through the Canon IIf with the collapsible Nikkor on it. SMOOTH!

You must trim the leader to the diagram on the bottom plate. The "off-the-shelf" leader is not long enough. Basically, you want to hit the bottom sprockets and wind the film to pull it across the top sprockets. Uncut film jams if you try to push it across the top sprockets.

Looks like we found a new Canonator.

Actually someday I'll be browsing for a 7. I like the look of it better and I like selenium meters. But that won't be anytime soon given how broke I am...

One other question - does the Jupiter 12 fit the IV series? I saw the thread on the P and 12, but nothing in it on the IV.

Thanks!
