Which focal lengths do you NOT have (35mm RF ONLY)

I don't have 15, 18, 28, 40, and 105.

When I first got the Bessa R, I also bought several lenses--21, 28, 35, and 50. I still have the 21 and 35, didn't really get on with the 28 and sold it. And, I also sold the CV 50.

I shoot the 21 quite a lot and do sometimes want wider, so I got a CV 15mm, used that for several rolls and ultimately decided that was a bit too wide for me. I want to use an 18mm for a bit and see if that might be a good fit for me.

I have just bought Elmarit 28mm (type 3) - I was happy to pay 590 EUR for a clean copy with the hood. So now I have 28/35/50/90. The guy who sold me 28mm said he is not using anything else than 35mm (therefore selling). I was thinking that myself I rarely use 90mm but I am afraid if I sell it I can regret later (and you never know if you can buy back at similar price).

It can get worse, you buy 2 of what you don't really use often or at all

For some reason I believe I need a new 24/25. I'm not sure why though.

Nothing longer than 35mm since I parted with my M3 outfit. I think I'll stick with my Pentax for 50 and up in future.

Come to think of it, does a Bessa L count as a RF? :D

I might have predicted high nimbers for the widest lenses, as well as the longest, and the lowest numbers for 35mm and 50mm, but it is interesting to note that 24/25mm is third highest (as of 1-Oct, 10:21am PST).

I realize this is a small sample size, but I have always thought the 24/25mm FL was more popular.

That's what I don't have (or do no longer have):

18mm
21mm
24/25mm
40mm
90mm

Do I miss one of those? Perhaps the 21mm.

Easy for me, as i have only a compact 35mm/f2.5 for my camera. Looking for a fast 50 and a 28mm, but both will have to wait till next year.

I think it would have been easier if people checked off what they had...the most popular votes for the least popular focal lengths is kind of counter-intuitive :)

Just for fun, I don't have anything from 1-34 and from 36-infinity. So that's an infinte number of focal lengths I don't have.
More seriously though, I wouldn't mind something a bit wider and longer, but not yet.
Interestingly (or not) is that the most common are the 50, 35, 85/90, and 28 in that order.
I'd have though fewer people would have had a 40, but I suppose the CL accounts for this?

I only use 35mm.

I have 50mm lenses that came with the cameras I bought. Never used them, never will, and too much of a hassle to sell.

This poll is just to inspire GAS isn't it?

It's interesting: the focal lengths nearest to the popular FLs suffer: presumably not different enough. The exception is the 28mm, presumably popular as the widest lens you can use a the internal viewfinder of a Leica with.

As RF lenses, I have these: 21-25-28-32-35-40-45-50-75-80-90-100-105-135.
I also use some SLR lenses with adapters on RF cameras.

I am a very simple basic photographer.
Mostly the 50mm Collapsible Summicron.
Occasionally the 35mm Summaron f2.8.
Seldom carry both! One or the other.
I have 135mm Tele-Elmar f4.
It is exquisitely sharp, wide open.
I use it less than once a year..

I have hordes of lenses for my SLR systems.
Think i should get adapters for the 28mm Lenses.

My problem is I have four different mounts in RF. LTM, Leidolf, Contax, and Argus. The Leidolf and Argus mounts don't have lenses wider than 35, but they are filled out with what is available. Between the LTM and Contax, neither of them are filled out very well, with 50/100 in LTM, and 50/135 in Contax.

Just for fun... The poll only allows 12 entries so I had to group some FL's. From this list, there are four FL's that I do NOT have:

15mm
21mm
28mm
40mm

It's been a year since I started this thread, and of the 4 FL's that I didn't have then, there are 3 that I still do not own (15-21-40). I acquired a 28mm (M-Hex) a few weeks ago.
