Which is the best Bessa to get ?

Many people who use B&W film and the 40mm go for the SC version, not the MC.

So the Sc is better than the Mc ? they cost the same anyway. Or thats what i saw 😀

It depends on the look you need/want.

They are the same price in EU, but often different in US.

They're both "better" depending on your preference. 🙂 The SC (Single Coated) was I think a concession to the Japanese market, where aesthetic preferences seem to be a bit different than here. The Multi-Coated version is superior in the modern way, reducing contrast-robbing internal reflections. But some say the SC has a more retro look, with a bit of veiling flare under some circumstances... The photo below may be an example (shot with my 40 SC).

Doug, that's a delightful photo. Everybody seems happy, but the guy in black on the left looks a bit scary.
