Can autocord owners confirm that any bay 1 Rollei lens hoods will fit on my autocord? Seems genuine Minolta lens hoods are rare as hens teeth, so I'm considering alternatives ... Rollei or are there even modern plastic ones available?

Andrew appear to own an Autocord, so I belive that he speaks from experience.
(I do not have an Autocord but a Yashica TLR)
It is however my understanding that while Bay 1 cameras from Yashica and Minolta have no problem using the Rollei bayonet filters (using the inner bayonet), attaching Rollei bayonet hoods to the Japanese TLR's is not always possible - apparently the outer bayonet on these cameras are made with slightly different tolerances from those of Rollei.
Not that it is a big deal, you can always re-list your purchase if you have problems.
I have personally a Rollei hood arriving soon, hoping that it will fit my Yashica-D. Judging from forum responses to questions re. compatibility there should be a 50/50 chance.

Thanks for the further info Niels. I haven't purchased one yet, but it's good to know ahead of time that it may take some tries before I get one that works. Good luck on yours!

Guess what?
A bay 1 rollei hood fits my Autocord CDS Model III like a glove.
I think that other Autocord models should be compatible as well.

OT: Just wanted to add that I have now received the Rollei Bay 1 hood for my Yashica-D (which I mentioned earlier) and it fits without problems.

Genuine Autocord hoods are pricey and collectible, but any decent Bayonet-1 hood will do. There were some eBay sellers selling Chinese-made new ones - maybe there still are.

Thanks Niels and David. I'll try picking one up on eBay in hopes of ending (or at least reducing) the oh-so lovely flare in my shots.
