Ok let me ask you mavens which lens this might be. I love the soft bokeh when shot wide open.
Oh alright I will not keep you in suspense. Nothing more than a humble Pentax Super Takumar 55mm f2 shot wide open. Quite impressive I think. Even better than the much lauded Takumar 50mm f1.4 in my view. And in bokeh terms I cannot say I have seen anything better prodcued by a Leica lens. If there is any slight softness in the main subject I fancy its my crappy focussing.

Very nice and typical Pentax colour. Bokeh is so subjective though - backlight, distance to background, type of background etc. That said, this is really good.

Thanks. I'm thinking of picking up a couple of Pentax screw mount lenses for use on my NEX-5, probably a 55mm F1.8 and a 35mm F3.5. I can't believe how low the prices are on many of those old M42 optics.
