Hello.

I intend to buy a WA for my S3 millenium. Which would you recommend in terms of sharpness from the Voigtlander line ? I will be shooting slides essentially.

Thanks !;)

They are both excellent extremely sharp lenses. I had both but kept the 21/4 because there isn't much chance of me ever owning the Nikkor 21/4 in S-mount.

I concur with Jon, both lenses are very sharp. I had both, and kept the 21 because the 25 was too close to a 28mm in field of view. Can't really go wrong either way, though

Jon, you could always grit your teeth and put the Contax 21 on your nikons...:). The Zeiss lens works well on my SP

I have CV 25/4 in S mount because I loved it on my Bessa L, it never came off. I did not get the 21 in LTM for two reasons.

First I had a 21/2.8 Elmarit and never really liked it. It was part of a three lens set for my M6 (21/35/90) but distored too much. Second I had a CV 15/4.5 which felt just right for a super wide.

While I love the lens for me there is not enough difference between the 25 and my 35 to bring her out often. On my S2 my triplet was a 25/50/105. I'm keeping my eyes open for a Nikon F to S adapter which would allow me to pick up a CV 15 SL lens and use it on my S3-2000. Perhaps I should think about the 21mm focal lenght more as it's hard to find the adapter.

Hope I was able to add a bit of confusion.

I've certainly been tempted before, Mark! If I come across one for the right price, there's a high probability it will follow me home :)

I have an S3 and the 21mm........tremendous combination. I shoot color mostly and the lens is very sharp and easy to use....it comes with an accessory focus ring that makes the handling excellent. The VF is also WONDERFUL.

I have both in M mount. They are very different lenses to me. Optically they are both excellent and similar in quality. But I find the field of view, and thus usage, to be very different.

You need to decide if you want the FOV of a 21mm or a 25mm lens and not base your decision on the optical quality.

FWIW, my five lenses are 50, 35, 28, 25 & 21mm. I don't carry them all but certainly use them all. I will say the 35, 28 & 25mm get the most use.
