Who can tell the camera and lens? :)

I see the diopter adjustment on the far end of the eyepiece.

Leica III's had them like that up until (and including) the IIIa. The IIIb and later moved it to the rewind knob.

The Nicca/tower cameras also have the diopter adjustment.

Lens looks like an F2. I'll check my Collapsible Nikkor when I get home. If it is a Nicca, it would have one of them. I'll also look at the Summitar.

The lens mount looks like a Summitar, maybe Summar. I would guess a IIIa based on the far split of the RF/VF windows, maybe IIIc.

The IIIc (and iiib) moved the diopter adjust to around the rewind knob. The base of the lens looks big; but until I put the Summitar and Nikkor next to each other, hard to tell. The Nikkor is a "biggest collapsed lens" that I've seen! I wonder if the clip is a commercial is for a Sears Tower Type 3.

At first glance it looked to me like a III or IIIa with a Summar.....but after examining the base of the lens, it is more square rather than rounded {Summar} in the shoulder. Possibly not a Summitar since this was introduced with the IIIb. So it's more likely a Tower/Nicca clone with an early Nikkor as Brian pointed out.

After looking at the Nikkor and Summitar side by side: The extension on the Nikkor is not as great, and the Summitar has the inset for the lens head.

I'm going with Leica III with Summitar. Can't tell III or IIIa.

Fed's do not have the diopter adjustment around the eyepiece that the Leica III and Nicca have.

Look for the little lever at the corner of the VF/RF housing.

Gee, I lead a boring life.

All I know is that his picture was horribly out of focus. He jerked the camera about 3 inches when he pushed the shutter. He needs to take that gum out of his mouth and use a mini-soft release 🙂

My IIIa + Summar looks almost exactly the same.... only not so shiny 🙂
