Desperate but not serious
Already exist, mainly as scientific camera. We used the MEGAPLUS EC11000 color CCD cameras in Nikon mount on the feature film Coraline back in 2007. More at

Just for fun...who do you think will be first?
And when?
EDIT: Mirrorless, FF, Interchangeable lens camera![]()

Since the M9 is already out... and that was the 1st FF Mirrorless,
The OP'r must mean with Liveview also..
So my thinking was that it must have LiveView also,
That way my thinking, so I voted Leica.

Leica M (240). It is the first FF mirrorless with live view. It already exists; B&H is taking pre-orders.

Last sunday I held a RX-1 at the local camera store.
Technically it has everything I wish for:
However it feels and handles like any other digital p&s. Found it hard to manual control it. Most importantly I don't see the value in it for $2800
If it only was a Fuji XL100

I'm assuming you mean digital camera, and that you mean 24x36mm is FF - already done. On 9/9/9 the Leica M9, I believe was the first FF mirrorless (non slr).
I'm waiting for the first affordable digital FF camera.

M9 aside.
I'm not sure who will be the first to make, but I know it will have a Sony sensor inside.

Just to put the Cat among the Pigeons!
I still think if it does not have a viewfinder. Either Optical or Electronic. It doesnt count.
I still dont get the "No Viewfinder" thing. I am sure the RX1 is an amazing Camera. But, how much for the "Optional" vewfinder? £380.00 for the cheap one! Thats almost 2 Nikon 1 V1`s at the moment!
On our recent trip to South America. Over 300m Altitude (In the Sun) the screen was completely useless. As were your eyes if you did not have Sun glasses on.
I think if Voigtlander/Cosina did the "Bessa D" they would clean up.
We have been talking about that one for years tho!

Indeed, but if you're talking about the optical finder for the RX1, then you could just get any optical finder if you wanted, a used Voigtlander or something, save a bit of money. I like that Sony are touting an optical finder as an option, but all in all, I think the RX1 is a bit steep for what it is.

The LCD display of Sony's RX1 works like a mirror, right?

It's mirrorless in the way that it matters i.e. it's not an SLR.

Future FF... Pentax/Ricoh
Reason is that I would expect Sony to be first and therefore it will be someone else. Ricoh has been silent for a couple of years. Pentax has said FF mirrorless is on the way. The wild card is Fuji, but really it could come from any quarter.

When I answered Leica didn't even cross my mind though they obviously had the first "main-stream/mass produced/wide audience" full frame camera without a mirror. I think.
I could say something cheeky about the fact I totally forgot about Leica but I won't.

A full frame, Sigma, mirrorless camera with a next-gen Foveon sensor would be ideal.
