Sorry to "throw a dirty sock in the punch bowl" so quick but I was shooting with my F3 this evening! 😱

Nope. Primarily RF, to be sure, but I have a TLR (Yashica 635) and a Canon FTb-N & a 50/1.4 for it on the way.

Well, I can't claim I only shoot rf but 99.99% of my shooting is with rf. The rest is DSLR, mostly to shoot my rf cameras. 🙂

that's good to hear. I thought you were a digital convert. . . !

RF only.

Why not start with a user M3?

The M3 is definitely one of my possible directions. I like its mechanicalness and its age - far from this age is a good thing.

But, I also like the idea of newer materials on the modern MP and M7. But, I could get an M3 and some really nice glass for the price of an MP alone.

I only shoot an RF because I CAN only shoot an RF. When photowork comes around - which it does occasionally - I need a DSLR. Funny thing is that I sold my DSLR to buy the 100mm for the Bronica, then got three calls this month to shoot. 1 for fashion, one for weddings, and one for general events (prom photos for a school). I had to tell them I'm out of the game for now.

You can get a mint M3 with a mint used Noct for the price of a MP

But we shouldn't encourage you (for now...), LOL 😀

I have an SLR and a Digital, but don't use them, the digital is for Ebay and stuff like that...
There just is a special appeal and pleasure in shooting with rangefinders. Its an intangible attraction....I guess that is why we are all on this site...no?

I primarily shoot my QL17 or my Kiev 4a. I from time to time use my grandfathers old vivitar 220sl. That is pretty much the only non rangefinder camera I own. If given the opportunity to own the best rangefinder kit ever versus both a practicle RF and SLR kit I would take the latter. There are some applications that an RF just can't do. Actually I guess my kit is pretty practicle, but if I could make it better I would.

Yes, my main camera is the Kiev and my 'smaller' one is a Prinz. Only non-RFs are the extremes; For long telephoto shots there's the photosniper and I have a bellami that fits in the sporran.

I do. I had a brief fling with a F3p (superb camera) last year but i sold it and bought another M body.
