who here shoots only rangefinders?...not a poll

80% Digital Rangefinder (RD1)
10% MF Film Rangefinder (Mamiya 6)
10% DSLR (20D)

My Yashicas, 4X5, and Canon Rangefinder have been sitting on the shelf since the RD1 arrived. Still use the Mamiya, love that lens! The 20D is for macro and telephoto work.

In the past week I have shot with'

Minolta Autocord- 4 rolls
Nikon F3HP- 3 rolls
Yashica GT- 1 roll
Contax IIa -1 roll
Konica Auto S2- 2 rolls
Kodak Brownie Flash Six-20 - 1 roll
Calumet C-1 8x10- 2 sheets.

So, I guess I am not a very good rff person.

I'm impressed at how many are overwhelmingly or 100% RF shooters. I would have to say that while I am looking always for opportunities to shoot with rangefinders, much of my subjects lately (and ongoing) are niece and nephews playing sports or riding horses or macro shots of flowers. So I use SLRs quite a bit, including medium format. I like to use my TLRs when I can as well. Rangefinders constitute a minority of my photography, though an enjoyable part.

My first "real" camera was a Yashica Lynx 1000 then I migrated to SLR's. Twenty years ago when I was stronger my wife and I took a trip abroad. For the two of us I brought three bodies, two LX's and a Super Program all with motor drives and nine, count 'em, nine fast prime lenses. Plus all the other junk that goes in the bag and a tripod. Each day I left more and more behind in the hotel room until I was finally down to one body with a 50 and a 24 in my pocket. When we got home I dug out the old Lynx, had it CLA'd and sold all the Pentax gear. Rangefinder only ever since.

Mosly DSLR due to work ( I actually do like my slr though) but I have a Leica that I love to use. I would like to get my hands on a R-D1, if so things might shift the other way.

I'm probably 80+% RF. Mostly the M3, then the Canonet (since it's become my "color experiment" camera) and then the Olympus 35 SP (because the meter needs a new battery).

I have a TLR I should use more often because I love it, and a D70s I should use more often because it would be ridiculous for it to go obsolete without me ever giving it a good workout.

When I steal my Olympus Stylus Epic back from my mom that will probably become my "in the pocket" camera. Right now that role is filled by the M3, and although I have nearly romantic love for my M3 it's a bit heavy and perhaps a bit too valuable to me to just go into the pocket of my cargo capris and jet.

I take a Nikon SLR with zoom lens on vacations/travel abroad where I don't want to be constantly changing lenses. In my home area I use only my Bessa R2 where I can take more time with each shot. I will say that the Cosina lenses out-perform my SLR lens.

40% RD-1
25% Bronica RF645
30% M6 or Hexar RF
4.5% Olympus E1
0.5% Canon F1

I'm on a RF film trip at the moment, but in reality I'll just use what takes my fancy. Problem is making the decision. 🙁
