No, not a left hand shutter release. This person has a left handed M2. And apparently doesn't know it! But he did "have this checked out and still in fully functioning operation"
Almost forgot the link:
leica m2 Rangefinder 35mm SLR
I've been know to gamble a little but not on this.

Judging by the contrast, it was probably shot on film and scanned from prints. So I wonder if the minilab did the prints backwards.

My Guess,

He shot on film and scanned the film.
But he put the film in up side down in the scanner.

Mind you, just to put in a Leica "anorak" comment, they actually did manufacture a tiny number of left-handed shutter releases for the screw mount cameras! (There's a picture in von Hasbroeck's book.) Basically it was just a pivotted lever that fastened on the accessory shoe. In the last 10 years or so I've seen two for sale (probably the same one twice!) for >£1000!
Maybe there's a rarer right-handed version for the left-handed M2?

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. He's completely disadvantaged his sale with the pics reversed or otherwise ... they're attrocious. I'm going to keep an eye on that one to see what he gets for it! :D

Even if it was left-handed, and I am naturally left-handed, I still am a right-handed shooter and a left-handed one will sfeel awkward. Must be all the years of having only right-handed cameras ...

Potentially this could be a very good offer! The fact that he's got only one (positive!) feedback ages ago from a buyer that isn't registered anymore, is not going to help him get a fair price either. On the other hand, it might be a scammer trying to lure us with faked ebay clumsiness...

A gamble... who bites??
