I've only been an RFF member for a few months, but I've really enjoyed the dialogue, sharing, learning and images I've experienced through this forum.

While there are a number of local clubs listed here, I note sadly there is none from Hong Kong.

Are there other Hong Kongers besides myself - such as edho, gcsk76, no_doubt_kit, Dingo, Calvin, pizzahut88 and stevehk - that would find it worthwhile to get together casually after work once every few months to exchange stories, ideas, thoughts, opinions, etc. about what we all obviously enjoy: film and RFers?

If so, I would be happy to organise our HK chapter of RFF and make it happen.

Let me know, either here through this thread or via PM.

Thanks,

Adrian Ho

Seven people have viewed this thread (presumably the seven RFF members I believe live in Hong Kong) but not one replied?! Should I assume my suggestion is poorly conceived or ill-timed? Let me know!

Great, Louis, thanks for responding. Will keep you posted. I know pizzahut88 is interested, but he's super busy until June. Hopefully a few of us can get together at some point.

What RF(s) do you use?

Adrian

Count me in?

Hi guys,
Am relatively new to rf.... found it a great way to return to the film format and indeed upgrade my skills in an old fashioned sort of way.

Anyway, an in Kowloon - would love to take part.

Well, I'm not in Hong Kong but I looked. Simply because I spent a bunch of time in Hong Kong, some time ago, for work and was just interested in seeing what kind of interest you were generating. Never discount idle curiosity as a motivation!

Hi Adrian,

Count me in, I am relatively new to RFF and need advice, critics, etc... So I will be very interested.
Unfortunately I am not here very often because of my job, anyway PM me or email when you have a meeting.

I will be away for the all month of June.

Thanks
Max

Sorry !

Sorry !

Mr. Ho,

I am so sorry to have missed your invitation, count me in ! I am always hunger for shooting.
I usually shoot with an R,L or FED 1 with screw mount lenses or just hang out with a Vito B or Rollei 35TE.

Mr. Ho, I am sorry for my belated response as I just noticed your invitation this evening. Count me in please though most ppl in Hong Kong are tied with work. I am sure we ALL can spare some time for shooting and experience sharing. I may also ask my other RF friend to join. Much obliged.

Hi all (Louis, dryice66, Max, Dingo, 2REP, Calvin and pizzahut88),

Thanks to your responses, it looks like we have enough interest to form a Hong Kong RF group!

For those who haven't already, could you please PM me your mobile phone numbers so I can make contact and begin the process of setting a place, time and date for a meeting? I am sure many of us have travel demands (including myself, just back last night from 10 days in Chile for work, but some RF photography as well!), so it may take a bit of juggling to get us all together.

Dryice66 has kindly suggested we use the hotel he works at in TST East as a possible first venue, which is fine with me. Is everyone else okay with that?

Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Adrian

Well, it looks like we're just about 10 of us here in Hong Kong who want to get together and form a local RFF chapter. Most of you have passed me your contact details, so I wil be in touch shortly.

I guess the next step is to get the "management" to approve the addition of a RFF Hong Kong Club to the website.

HK RFF Club Banner

Have asked RFF Management to let us post a banner for Hong Kong RFF Club under Photo Clubs. Once we have that, you will learn of our first intended meeting! Those who've provided me with email addresses (not all of you, hint, hint) will learn directly.

I have written two emails over the past 10 days to rffinfo@gmail.com and haven't received any reply about starting a HK Club section under this Forum. What gives?

Strangely, the Head Bartender and one moderator for the Photo Club section have not responded to my PMs about setting up a Hong Kong Photo Club banner. Not sure why.
Any suggestions from other regional Photo Clubs?
